After her presence and speech at the inauguration of the first edition of the Brussels Digital Week, Bianca Debaets, the State Secretary will be present at Conference Smart City and The Women in Tech Night.
Last Tuesday at the Co.station, Bianca Debaets expressed her support and enthusiasm with a speech advocating digital by all and for all.
Next week, she will make an opening speech at the conference Smart City, Wednesday 14 October and at the Women in Tech Night, Saturday 17 October.
At the conference Smart City, great speakers are joining us. Bruno Schröder, Technology Officer Microsoft, Eric Auquière from CIRB to present "FixMyStreet" and Dorian de Broqueville from BePark. During this conference we want to tackle the challenges and questions concerning the evolution of cities towards ‘Smart Cities. Take part in the future of your city!
At the Women in Tech night, we will host around a table discussion, women in the Brussels digital sector. In the panel discussion moderated by Cheryl Miller, Founder of the Digital Leadership Institute, we will look at the role of women in the digital society. Where are we with male/female parity in the tech sector? What are the challenges linked to gender balance, and what can be done to increase participation of girls and women? These questions will be discussed at this event showcasing outstanding women in the Brussels digital sector.
Confirmed panelists include Anne Collet, Founder, Driver and Coach in Web Application Development at Le Wagon Brussels, Julie Foulon, Managing Director of BetaGroup and founder of Girleek.net a blog about new technology and high-tech for girl and Valérie Kinoo, founder of Coworking "Les Galeries".
Panel will be followed by Q&A and an informal networking opportunity.
